Job description
SECTION I: POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for analysis, and coordination of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for building construction and renovation projects and required maintenance. Working within a multidisciplinary MEP team, this role ensures that electrical systems are reliable, energy-efficient,, and coordinate with mechanical and plumbing systems.
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and maintenance records.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to all entities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist in the design and improvement of electrical systems when required.
• Respond to emergency service calls and support after-hours operations when needed.
• Ensure proper operation of UPS system, grounding system and surge protection device.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, maintenance records, and checklists to ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance
SECTION II: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES
Educational Qualifications: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
Years of Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of Operations, ideally in Facility Management
Key competencies:
• Preventive Maintenance Strategy & Planning
• Contractor & Asset Lifecycle Management
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to perform voltage drop, fault current, and energy consumption calculations.
• Communication: Strong technical writing skills for specifications and reports; ability to explain complex electrical concepts.
• Problem Solving: Aptitude for troubleshooting and field conditions under deadline pressure.
