Warehouse Helper

SECTION I: POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, handling, and dispatching materials. The role supports smooth warehouse operations by ensuring accurate physical handling of stock, maintaining cleanliness, and following safety and storage procedures. This position works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and supports Logistics and Inventory teams through accurate execution of warehouse tasks.

SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming materials and place items in designated storage areas.

• Check items for visible damage and notify the Warehouse Supervisor of any discrepancies.

• Label and organize materials according to warehouse layout and storage standards.

• Pick and prepare materials for dispatch as instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Carry out packing, labeling, and staging of outbound items.

• Load delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.

• Support routine cycle counts and physical stock checks.

• Report shortages, damages, or misplaced items to the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Ensure accurate physical handling to prevent inventory errors.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and equipment handling rules.

• Assist with moving, lifting, and arranging materials as required.

• Operate pallet jacks, trolleys, or other basic material-handling tools.

• Support forklift operations under the direction of certified forklift drivers.

SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES

Educational Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Years of Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations preferred, but entry-level candidates with good physical ability will be considered.

Key competencies:

• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.

• Basic understanding of warehouse processes.

• Attention to detail and discipline in following instructions.

• Ability to work in teams and follow safety guidelines.

• Basic reading and writing skills for labels and documentation.

• Kurdish is required; basic English is required, and higher fluency is an advantage.
