Use calibrated reference instruments and simulators, such as electrical safety analysers, patient simulators, defibrillator analysers, infusion device analysers and gas flow analysers.
Perform electrical safety testing to confirm equipment is safe for patients and staff.
Identify equipment that fails calibration or safety tests, label it clearly as out of service, and inform the facility immediately.
Preventive and corrective maintenance

Recommend repair, spare parts or replacement when equipment cannot be restored on site.
Documentation and certification
Record all measurements, results and adjustments accurately during each visit.
Prepare and issue calibration certificates, test reports and service reports for every device.
Attach calibration labels showing the date of service and next due date.
Keep equipment records and calibration history up to date in the company system.
Make sure all work is traceable to recognised reference standards.
Field operations and scheduling
Plan and complete daily and weekly site visits according to the service schedule.
Coordinate visit times with facility contacts to minimise disruption to patient care.
Travel between client sites daily, often to several facilities in one day.
Look after company tools, reference instruments and vehicle, and report any damage or need for recalibration of reference equipment.
Client relations
Act as the company's technical representative on site, communicating clearly and professionally with doctors, nurses, laboratory staff and facility managers.
Explain test results and equipment status to client staff in simple terms.
Provide basic user guidance on correct equipment handling and care.
Report client feedback, complaints and new service opportunities to the line manager.
Quality, health and safety
Follow infection-control and hygiene rules at all healthcare sites, including use of personal protective equipment.
Follow electrical, mechanical and workplace safety procedures at all times.
Support the company's quality management system and take part in internal and external audits.
Keep technical knowledge up to date through training on new equipment, standards and calibration methods.
Qualifications and Requirements

Experience
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in calibration, testing or maintenance of medical equipment.
Experience working directly in hospitals, clinics or for a medical equipment service company is preferred.
Experience using biomedical test and calibration equipment, such as electrical safety analysers and patient simulators.
Skills and competencies
Strong technical knowledge of medical equipment, electronics and measurement principles.
