Job description
SECTION I: POSITION SUMMARY
As Program Officer, you will report directly to the Program Coordinator and work closely with the MLI team. You will play a vital role in the smooth execution of the professional development courses, handling day-to-day operational and administrative tasks, and act as a point of contact for participants. You will support the planning, coordination, and smooth delivery of professional development programs and courses, ensuring high-quality implementation and a positive experience for participants. Your support will ensure smooth course delivery, maintain accurate records & documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement by collecting basic feedback to help improve future development programs.
SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Logistics Support: Coordinate venue bookings, catering, and equipment setup for all training sessions.
• On-Site Administration: Manage the registration desk, track attendance, and provide on-the-ground support to trainers and participants during workshops.
• Communication: Handle routine communication with participants regarding schedules, venue details, and course requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain organized digital and physical files for all programs, including participant data, feedback forms, and supplier invoices.
• Assistance: Support the Program Operations Lead with scheduling, budget tracking, and other operational tasks as needed.
SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field.
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in program support, training coordination, administration, or a similar role.
Key competencies:
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
• Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn.
• ability to work flexible hours during events.
