Job description
The Full Stack Developer plays a key role in building the organization's in-house software solutions, reporting directly to the Senior Full Stack Developer. This role is responsible for developing user-facing features from design specifications, building robust server-side logic and APIs, and maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of application databases. Working across the full development lifecycle — from design handoff through deployment and ongoing maintenance — the Full Stack Developer helps ensure that applications remain responsive, reliable, and free of defects for all end users.
Core Responsibilities
• UI Development: Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, production-ready interfaces that are fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Components & Design System: Build reusable components aligned with the design system, with close attention to spacing, typography, visual hierarchy, and consistent implementation.
• Localization: Implement right-to-left (RTL) layouts for Arabic and Kurdish interfaces where required.
• Interaction & Motion: Build smooth UI interactions, animations, and transitions without compromising application performance.
• Feature Implementation: Translate requirements and design mockups into functional code, addressing both the visual interface and underlying logic.
• API Development: Design, build, and consume secure RESTful APIs, and integrate internal and third-party services.
• Database Management: Design schemas and write and optimize database queries to store and retrieve data efficiently for application features.
• Maintenance & Bug Fixing: Monitor application performance daily, investigate reported issues, and deploy fixes and patches promptly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Full Stack Developer, designers, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver features on schedule.
• Operational Support: Respond to urgent application needs and provide support for operational priorities as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
2–5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with demonstrated full-stack development capabilities.
Technical Competencies
• Frontend: Proficiency in a modern frontend framework (e.g., React / Next.js) with strong HTML, CSS/Tailwind, and TypeScript skills.
• Backend: Working knowledge of server-side development and building or consuming RESTful APIs (e.g., Node.js, NestJS, GoFiber).
• Databases: Solid relational database skills (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), including schema design and query optimization, with ORM experience (e.g., Drizzle, TypeORM).
• Security & Authentication: Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns (e.g., JWT, OAuth 2.0, role-based access control) and secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
• State Management: Familiarity with modern state-management and data-fetching patterns (e.g., TanStack Query, Redux, Zustand).
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and GitHub collaborative workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Testing: Familiarity with unit and integration testing tools (e.g., Jest, Vitest, Playwright) and QA practices to ensure new code does not break existing functionality.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Exposure to cloud platforms or Linux server environments (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean, Nginx) is an advantage.
• Debugging: Strong debugging skills using browser DevTools, server logs, and error tracking or monitoring tools.
• DevOps: Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), and modern build and deployment workflows.
• Performance: Understanding of caching and performance-optimization techniques (e.g., Redis, lazy loading, code splitting, image optimization).
• Real-Time Features: Familiarity with WebSockets or similar real-time communication technologies is an advantage.
